You might want to get one LONGER than 7'

Here's a bit of "networking black arts magic".

Some LAN cards see the extremely low resistance on the connection as a SHORT and shut the port down.

Cables longer than 7' help avoid this, though this can still happen with them as well.

so is that all the hardware I need if I use that setup?  From there I just have to install xbconnect on my computer.  Also, is it possible to nuke my xbox like when installing evox??  Do i need to install xbconnect on the xbox too?
