The only wireless Xbox controller I know of is the Logitech one...

Pelican Eclipse wireless controller has more of the look and feel of the MS S-controller.  I use one, and haven't ever had any problems.

If really you want to use the original controller as a wireless one, you could make your own, but that would be a bit complicated.

I would recommed the Logitech Cordless Controller (http://www.logitech....,CONTENTID=6110)
My buddy bought two of them, and I was so impressed I bought 2 for my PC and one for my new XBox which will arrive soon.  

The controllers are VERY responsive and confortable with my large hands.

There not cheap but worth their price.

MS should make a controlle that looks exactly like the S controller and Make it wireless sort of like the gaycube Wirekess Controller they made its the same exact controller but wireless and its badass  works awsome... If they took all the memory card slots out and replace that place with wireless it should work pretty darn good

What's the battery life on the Pelican and Logitech like? (heavy use)

I've have the Madcatz, which though they work just great, tend to go thru a set of batteries in a week of use.

My daughter's wavebird controller for her gamecube seems to last FOREVER on one set of batteries...

The only wireless controller i can still recommend for the xbox is the one from Logitech.  All the rest I've either had connectivity problems with or the responsiveness just sucked.  The Logitech behaves just as if its corded for me.

As far as battery life, I don't know what they do in that wireless gamecube controller (I have one too) but it lasts almost twice as long as the xbox logitech.  If you shut off vibrate on the logitech though then the battery life is respectable.

Yea I know the Logitech is more money, which put me off to getting it first too but I hated when I hit like A-X-Y and the xbox thought I hit just A-Y or something.  Or worse, it would just pop up and say a controller was unplugged.  And sometimes when its really cold I'll have a blanket over me and the logitech will go right through it just fine and a still play perfectly.

the eye gets that way with a lot of coffee/red bull and little sleep.  That's why I like sauron, i know all he wanted was a little sleep but having no eye lids makes that hard so he decided to rule middle earth instead.  Poor guy.

I went to the local best buy and bought the pelican controller and used it for a day and returned it.  for some reason it just didnt feel right and the thumsticks became extremely slippery after use and the buttons were not too sensitive... so i returned it today.

I am now eyeing the logitech controller.  Is the buttons on the logitech controller pressure sensitive for games like nfl streets? and how are the thumbsticks? do they slip around like crazy after an hours play?

That looks like the one to get ^. Especially if it has decent vibration, I hear some wireless controlers sacrifice vibe for battery life. That one also claims support for the head set which was a big drawback from the original logitec.
