You need one of the moddified evox bios' that look for ybox.xbe.

ybox.xbe is just the normal evox dashboard executable renamed, so that you can have the original xboxdash.xbe in place. This is so you can turn your mod off and have it boot as if it was still in its virgin retail state (as long as your hd is locked).

i have some confusion on this too, im recieving a premodded xbox w/ evox 2.5, and theres no mod in there anymore , of course, but how would i turn off the mod chip? i understand everythin about it except the fact about turning off the mod chip to run the original dash. thx

Not sure about all the other mods, but with the x-ecutor, you need to install a switch with the mod to do this. I think there are some other mods that allow you to boot to original bios with eject button or something like that.

ya i know, but THERE ISNT A MOD in there just the bios is flashed, so :/

If you don't know you are not currently using one.

If you did use/burn one and forgot to adjust the files you'd now immediately when the Xbox boots up.

The colormod is also a good addition to ybox so you always know what's going on.
