Nuked Box Fix!

I will backup C:,E:,F:,X:,Y:, and Z: partitions with original updated xboxlive dash and other files.
And i will also backup C:,E:,F:,X:,Y:, and Z: partitions  with EVOX dash (without any Xboxlive files)

If i want to play online can i just copy to xbox C:,E:,F:,X:,Y:, and Z: partitions with XBOXLIVE ?
And if i want to play backups just copy C:,E:,F:,X:,Y:, and Z: partitions with EVOX ? (erasing previous XBOXLIVE partitions )

As I noted, you don't actually have to reformat the drive or even erase it's contents.

All you need to do is restore from a backup.

In this case just restoring the C:\ partition with the files you obtained would have been more than enought to get things running just fine again.

And you could have updated afterwards.

I'm sure that replacing the C: will fix the problem.  I did notice that the update adds dashupdate.xbe and some entries in your saved game slots for account profiles on the E: partition.  This shouldn't have anything to do with why the xboxdash.xbe will not work.  Replacing the contents of C: alone should solve the problem.  The only reason i replaced it all was because i wanted to make sure it worked.

The Xbox will ALWAYS boot from a CD.

So utilize a bootable Evolution-X cd to restore your files.

This is why you should always have a known good Evolution-X CD available, preferably with a copy of your C: & E: files just in case.
