Backwash is the only map I have trouble with.  Plays fine, just leaves marks on my screen that won't go away untill I reboot.  Bungie took backwash out of matchmaking anyways so its not a big deal

Really?  They did?  When did that happen?  I always HATED that map, but I don't know why.
I know playing things like King of the Hill on 360 in that map, it went down to like 7 or 8 FramesPerSecond when in the middle of the building.

so how is the transition from playing halo on the original xbox to the 360? is it just a matter of getting used to the controller? or it it pretty much the same?

im thinking of getting one also.

Single player is constantly under 30FPS, its unbearable, im not going to speak for MP but i seem to do horrible compared to on a regular xbox

I got my 360 in February, I've beaten both Halos on Campaign and it has also hosted and joined many system link games. The only problems I've noticed is that Backwash has a low framerate and that there's more lag, regardless of map. The controller is awesome; I love the black/white buttons substituted with LB/RB. I would much rather play Halo on the 360.

If you are ONLY getting a 360 for Halo 2, or that is the main reason, then don't waste your money.  It's about the same, though the GFX are a little sharper, but not mindblowing.  There is some lag, I'd say mostly in multiplayer, but it's not "unbearable."  I also had some ghosting the other day in single player but haven't had it in multi yet.
I'd say, overall, it handles everything pretty well.
