Its not like you spawn out in the middle of the dish on ascension.  Plus you could eventually be able to pick up either one of the BR's or plasma nades.  Its not hopeless.

Maybe you haven't played in a while.  I got slayer pro several times the other day and on Lockout at that.  Also, there's swat.  Then there are other gametypes.  So no you don't start with the smg all the time.

thats why you gotta learn the superjumps....the ones on ascension are both easy after like a half hour of practice.
