i level down one of my accounts every so often, but we do it in a party of 4, so we just give the other team free wins

That's the only justification I could ever see for it.

I hate the ones that sit there and talk shit while they do it cause they like to piss people off cause they are little punks and could never say that shit to somebody there own age without a cop standing there.

What I do is go stand by them and try to die by there grenades, then you can eject them.  It works 80 % of the time.

They de-level so that they can either play with n00bs again and keep re-owning them or so that they can help their friends level up be supposedly bringing in lower levels.

Bungie has put in the auto update, that if u get a score of -10 or lower u get booted from the game.

That means nothing. People I talk to say they might commit suicide once, then just leave game. When you leave like 2 or 3 games, you de-level.

I also de-level but do it in a party of 4 as well, we will be playing the game normally and then when we get to about 49 we all start comitting suicide and let the other team win.  We de level so that when we play on our primary, we have someone on a low account and it wont match you up with anyone higher then the highest person in your party.  Also, whoever said that you get booted after 10 suicides is an idiot, if that was true then how came me and my friends never get booted when we get 30 suicides?  sometimes we go from have 40 to -50 and none of us get booted and none of us have the option to boot one another because we have a score of -10.

EDIT:

Not true, if your team still wins the game after you leave then you still get the experience.  Bungie said so themselves.  Thats why most of the people who you encouncter deleveling will stay in the game and make sure that your teams loses.  The only time that you lose alot of points is when you quit the game and your team loses, thats why you get less experience points then the people who lost the game but finished the game.

If you cannot form a party of similary leveled players and beat the other teams, you don't deserve to go up a rank... plain and simple.  You're exploiting the ranking system, thats all there is to it.

you guys do realize that when you go in ts with say a 35,34,33, and a low level say 28, you can play a team of straight 35s. So yea, sometimes it helps, other times it doesnt.

Yeah, ranks dont mean nothing to me.  On my primary i'm only a 28, but i got my friends upwards of 35 using my other account.  I would probably be higher if i played ranked games, but i like to play the training playlists and custom games more then ranked games.  In my opinion ranks dont mean shit, i have beat lvl 38s before and they sucked.  Ranks dont mean a thing.

Yup, you see, levels dont mean shizznit.  I know that im fairly good at halo 2 and i dont need a number to show it.  I actually like it more when i have a average level and then some 30+ level guy challenges me to 1v1 and i kick his ass, nothing burns more then a 15 beating a 35! haha.

I wish the next Bungie game will have no ranks and just pools of noobs, intermdeiates, pros, and gods. Like single player.

if someone does this then either
1. turn of the xbox or unpug thier controller
2. join in and beat them at thier own game and then see thier faces
3. bang on the controller and scream at the top of your lungs until they stop

it is actuall fun to commit suicides a couple of times but after youve done it to much it just gets stoopid.
so i agree it does get annoying but it can be fun sometimes.
