Halo2 With Modchip On
« on: June 29, 2005, 04:43:00 AM »

also if you run halo 2 with the mod chip on regardless if it is connected to live or not the game will ban the xbox before you even go live, and there will be other games out there that will do the same as new games are released.

is this for real?is there any way to stop it from happening ? if it is, does deleting it from your hd fix the problem or do you need to delete your save games also?
thanks for your time

disable the xbox live auto detect feature in the ms dashboard so it wont connect automatically to xbl.

Wasting how did that post help your such a noob instead of posting that idiotic remark help the guy out if you know how or get out of these forums you stupid noob!

Anyways I believe the game probaly does detect if you have a modchip on. Maybe deleting the cache files could solve that problem? I would recommend having the game on another hdd and dedicating live to an original 8 gb hdd to play it safe. Sooner or later the security will be updated again and everyone with a bigger hdd will get banned!

it is a legitimate question, does running halo 2 with your mod chip on alter the game in some way as to ban you next time you log onto xbl? all i was asking was if anyone knows how to stop it. if you dont know

I wouldn't bark orders if you can't post in the right section yourself.

Nothing is special about halo 2.  As long as you turn your chip off when you log onto live you won't have a problem.

What I do,  just to be safe is to pull the ethernet cord out of my xbox anytime I turn my chip on.

Any chip will do; xecuter 3 is the best imo.

If you do some research in the appropriate forum, you'll find all you need to know.

The best way to avoid accidently logging on to live, when your chip is on, is flash you're modchip with live disabling bios.  That way if you accidently hit the tab to log on to live, it will stop the execution, and nothing will happen.  Fool proof method.
