I don't know about you guys but I dont think they should have done ranks.  Everyone seems like stat whores, which took the fun out of the game.  Now people cheat just to bump up a stupid number.  I miss the days of halo on XBC were everyone just played for the sake of playing and having fun.

I agree with you a 110%, sometimes you didn't get the most even match-ups but it was still fun, still on xbl with all the n00b glitchers i still don't get even match-up part of the time. I wish they would just get rid of the ranking system.  I like the idea of the online stats but the ranking just makes people find a way to cheat to get a number beside their name.

it would suck for people trying to learn.  While yeah, the higher levels get stupid with more glitching and whatnot, if everyone were ranked equally a person playing for their second day would get matched up against the better players, get owned over and over again, and never go back to the game.

The rank system is good from a marketing stand point.  A lot off paople only want to get thier rank up.  So they will continually play to push that number higher.

Also I think they need ranks,  to keep the matches fair.  If the rank was not visible that would get rid of the rank whores.  

I think the best solution to this would be to make the ranks invissible.

Yup thats true what Foe hammer said on his last post. I was about to score in a game of CTF and one of my team mates betrayed me so he can be the one to score. Well the dumbass didnt know that we were followed by a sniper and when he picked up the flag from me he got sniped and it was game over.
