New Playlist Is Out

5-4-05 Playlist

Team pistols sounds cool as does Slayer Human BR.  Theres also a Brute Duel on Midship.  There's a SWAT game type on training.   blink.gif  Whatever that is.  Guess I'll find out later.

Overall by the looks of thing, its going to be a more than welcome change.

summary of battle rifle br-collosis SUCKS battle rifle fests from all sides. beaver creak SUCKS couple people get up top with BRs and a rocket and its gay.burial mounds atleast thats more OPEN and snipers cant completly dominate in it

I enjoyed both maps myself.  That's coming from a guy that used the combo whenever possible.

yea, most things are fun. the ONLY thing i have a real problem with is team rifles at ascension. whoever gets the banshee basically wins. the only way to kill it is a stick or highjack it. and when the pilot isnt a dumbass, he can get 20 or so kills with it. BRs dont do jack shit against the banshee, and no smgs so its sucks ass. Bungie should have taken the banshee out of it.

On the other hand, i played SWAT in team training. i was surprised, but it was very fun gettting killtaculars with a single pistol.  beerchug.gif

Personally, I absolutely loathe the emphasis on battle rifles in a lot of the new games, it's just not fun in the slightest for me - and yes this is entirely because I can't use the BR anywhere near as effectively as I can the smg, but the smg has been made practically irrelevant in some of these games. Of course it's still possible to kill people with the smg who are using a BR, but it's heavily weighted towards the BR on most maps - especially as everyone now has a BR, unlike maybe one or two people who actually prefer using them. This is sour grapes perhaps, but when you've spent a heck of a lot of time using the smg only for that to count for next to nothing in a lot of the maps, it's pretty disappointing.

It's only a game of course, I guess I'll just adapt to the new rules or find something better to play.

br takes more skill then starting with a smg and just spray and pray and all br start makes the game more even

i agree BR takes more skill....but as bobbrk says, its the spawning that suks.....for instance

last nite me and bobbrkr were playing TS on Warlock (i almost just typed Wizard)...but neways...we spawn on the bottom by the shotgun...and they spawn on top and just raid the battle rifles, while we get stuck with SMG/Shotty....wtf...how does that shit take skill..they can shoot me from 20 yrds..and i cant even get them from 10 yards!!!! it pisses me off

i'd rather play fair, then play to win...im not gonna camp it up on top with a BR...i'll move around and get kills that way...NOW...if they piss me off and start talkin shit, oooo noo, its over...i'll be the worst online player youve ever me..lol..i dont put up with that shit

noone is going to play fair in a ranked game: if that was a custom and they thought they were badass then thats sad, but its kind of stupid to not take an advantage that comes your way as long as its not outright cheating...

i just think its cheap to have your 3 teamates sit on top with battle rifles...it doesnt take skill....i dont need to camp with a battle rifle to be good..its just not me
