Items That Were Not Fixed In The Au, And Items

After comparing a non AU xbox with a AU xbox, i am noticing a number of things that were retooled that Bungie did not mention, and some things that were left the same that Bungie said they were fixing.

Things that Bungie did not mention:

- BR accuracy has been increase much.  When you shoot something far, the bullet bead pattern is dead on; not spread out like before, where there was quite a spread.

- Rocket launcher melee was reduced; no one hit kill jump melees.


Things that Bungie said they would retool, but did not:

- Frag gernades did not get a increase in damage or radius.  Just takes full shields out, but does not kill when right under someone, just like before.  The only difference is the shorter fuse.

- Plasma rifle + SMG combo takes the same amount of damage as before, as far as i can tell.


I'm sure i'll find out more as i play, but this is what i have confirmed so far.

The batle rifle is a lot stronger but the Brute Shot is still a litle bit weak imho.

seems like its going to be a new power weapon on the new maps or so ive seen in the videos

One frag can kill easier now.  Could kill before the AU too if it was perfect.

I completely notice no difference at all in the damage and blast radius of the frag gernades.  Niether before or after the AU could i get the frag gernades to kill with one explosion, even when I throw one at my feet and sit on the damn things.  In both cases, it just takes off shields completely.  Maybe it would if it bounced up in ones face and exploded.

Nonetheless, i wish the blast radius was increased; you can be pretty close to it without it knocking off any of your shields. mad.gif

I didn't realy notice much of a difference in the frag's either.  The only real thing that I picked up on was the shorter fuse.

SMG+Pistol combo was weakened as far as i can tell.

Make a split screen game.  Put another guy in the game.  Throw a frag at his feet.

I don't know why fragging yourself won't kill you, but its like that.  Prolly an effort so there aren't a ton of suicides.

I haven't tried out the brute shot.  I'll do that after I take the a quiz in a minute.  Don't see why its a two hit melee kill from what I heard.  I think it should be a one hit and I don't like it that the RL is a two hit now either.

brute and sword should be one hit, rl should be two... sniper, carbine, and br should be between 2-3 depending upon running or jumping... and everything else should be at least 3...

Well, i did as you said by making a splitscreen and threw the gernades at the feet of the other player.....

It makes no difference.....the effect the gernades have on you or another is EXACTLY the same.

But....i found out there is a difference between the AU frag gernades damage, and the non AU frag gernade damage.  The AU frag damage are indeed a little more powerful.

First of all, you have to realize MC has health in halo 2 like he did in halo 1, the only difference is you cannot see the health in halo 2.  Everytime you see blood when you get hit, your health goes down, and even once your shields recharge, you health does not, but remains lessened.

The frag gernades now not only take off all the shields, but take some blood (health) with it.  Before no blood was let out.

If you throw a gernade right under MC's foot it will take all shields, and some health (blood).  Wait for the shields to recharge, then throw another at his foot.  Do this three times (for a total of 3 gernades), and it will kill him.

So, one gernade, when sheilds and HEALTH are full, will never kill MC.

I encountered the bug with the blown up stationary machine gun still working on the 1.1 version. Bungie strikes again!

are you sure it didnt just respawn? because ive not seen an actual destroyed one be useable...
