i agree..but IF they fixed it, and fixed the getting on top of levels...if they left everything else the way it is, it would be amazing online.....it just pisses me off that i waited and waited, dished out 55$, and spent endless hours getting cussed out by 3 year olds for a skill-less game...i was an AWESOME halo 1 player...you can ask any one of my friends to back me up on that one...halo 2 i'm a good player....its just not fun...you dont need to be good to win...grrr grr.gif ....im just dissapointed uhh.gif

saying halo2 takes no skill to win is just a lie... while it is more likley to just be able to pick up the game and get some kills, theres a world of difference between that and winning consistently...

the funny thing about the arguement is that halo1 didnt have that wide of an audience that was able to play together: there were a few random tourneys and some spotty online play... everyone ive heard bitch about h2 claims to have been the best, most awesome player at halo1 (which convieniently has no ranking system to speak of)... they hop on xbox live, get what they think are unfair kills by 'noobs' and proceed to bash everything about h2 ad-nauseum... they almost never seem to consider that the other players just might be better than them...

there were random lucky kills in halo1's if you werent playing smart, same as there are in h2...

On this old ass topic. if you were an awesome H1 player then there is absolutely no reason that you shouldnt be an awesome H2 player. Its completely mental brother. I dont know a single person who raped redonkydickulosly in H1 that doesnt rape just as hard IF NOT HARDER. I do on the other hand know a bunch of people who sucked really bad at H1 that are pretty good at H2. I dont understand why that bother so many people.

H1 = individual skill = Great Game
H2 = Team skill = Great Game


Also Deftonemx17 - GC's been through way worse Semantics Nazi's than you. You did put up a nice argument. I personally feel its flawed but hey...

i know what your saying...and im not bullshitting you when i said i was an amazing halo 1 player...did you see THIS VIDEO by the way??? it is n00bish...how can you be better than me...eg. midship...dude gets sword and lets say gets 25 kills in slayer because no one can kill him because theyre camping...does this make him better than me??? i think not

there were SOME lucky kills in halo 1...like shooting the rocket from a year and a half away and nailing the moving warthog....but most / if not all of the kills in halo 1 took skill

Halo 2 is alright, but it is far from being "a lot like Halo 1, only it's Halo 1 on fire, going 130 miles per hour through a hospital zone, being chased by helicopters and ninjas"

Its more like a watered down "upgrade", taking away the great physics, graphics, and maps from Halo 1.

Halo 1 + (Xbox live - Matchmaking) = Great
(Halo one plus Xbox Live minus matchmaking equals great)

I've only seen Halo PC once or twice so i really can't compare it to anything... I do know that there isn't a matchmaking system, and it works just as any other normal game where you can join a game that you want to play, not be forced to play a game out of a crappy playlist.

(Custom games are rare and unorganized, so its not exactly a positive thing from Halo 2)

true....if it was like rainbow six, where you only could talk to ur own team, it'd be nicer....i hate when u get killed with the god damn n00b sword and kids are like "YOU GOT OWN3D, YOU SUKKK"....i'd want halo 1 to be completely live though...where people host games themeselves......XBC was nice, but the lag was ridiculous if you didnt have a great server to join...once and a while the game would just start, then start back up or come up with a networking error..being live would be so much cooler

Playing 2v2 on halo 1, is way more strategic than playing halo 2 2v2. Halo 2 can get very unbalanced at times, especially with the weapons. The ability to time power ups and weapons kept halo 1 balanced because everyone knew when everything was about to spawn, you just had to fight for it when it got there.
