Update Today On Halo2

is says on their site that it's got to be put out a little at a time so that it doesn't overload their servers, so, some regions will get it this morning, some this afternoon and some tonight. I'm kind of curious how it work, people with it playing against people without it....

if your unpatched, it wont let you connect to players with patched boxes.....and if the patch is available, it will come up with a message and you have to go to your dash and update it

Ummm, when Bungie sent off the code to M$ to get certified, its out of thier hands as far as WHEN it will get put out. Didn't you guys read the previous update?

well i dont think they should put anything on their page about doing an update or doing new maps and giving a pacific date on when distributing them! if they have to wait on m$ to get them certified....i think they should do all this stuff then get m$ to get them certified then announce it on their site!

If I have the patch then play against an unpatched xbox over system link will the two synchronise and apply the patch to the other one?

but then all the little bastard kids who know nothing of how a company works let alone game dev studio would be bitching about 1000x more than they already are...

ive got the update and the grenades are much more powerful, i forsee a bunch of 'stolen' kills in ffa's now... the smg seems a bit stronger or more accurate now...

the only other thing that might have changed is the weapons through the wall in beaver creek, though i cant really confirm that (only played one game)...

just updated the patch here too...i havent seen if it stopped standby yet...i will test everything tonight when i get back to the house!

If the updated box hosts, then all boxes play with the new fixes, but if an unpatched box hosts and a patched box joins, then the unpatched rules apply on the unpatched box.  I forgot to see if the patched fixes applay to the updated box, when the unpatched box hosts, but I bet no.  I'll see tomorrow to let you guys know for sure, but the main thing for now is syslink parties are still all good.  smile.gif
