Has anyone else noticed how halo 2's viewable field has been reduced drastically from halo 1's, especially in split screen?  It's like everything has been zoomed in.  I wonder if this was a performance issue, and needed to be done to keep a consistant frame rate on the aging xbox hardware?

Thanks for the info, gcskate27.

I'm going to change halo 2's field of view to halo 1's and see how it works.

Here is a picture comparing the increased FOV:

And another showing the original FOV:

I'm curious to why bungie decided to do this, because all FPS, including halo 1, go with 90 degrees FOV, while halo 2 goes with 70 degrees?

i never noticed that the fov wus changed in halo2. the fov for halo2 is 70 degrees, and almost every other game is 90.

sad.gif .

I do think it will be better for splitscreen, though.
