Extreme Lag With Satellite Internet

Im using Db3 Broadband Sattelite internet to play halo 2 on xbox live. I know sattelite isnt suppose to work with xbox live, but it worked for me ive been using it for a month. Now this week every second im lagging i pinged my xbox's ip and it said 10ms is this bad or am i pinging the wrong thing?

Where are you pinging from? You should get other people to ping you. Satellite isn't very good, even satellite tv lags behind cable tv.

Yeah, when your pinging YOURSELF of course its going to be good. You need someone far away to really test it.

try doing a bandwidth test...just google "free bandwidth test", or if you have firefox download the bandwidth tester plug in. If you google it, just follow the steps and it will give you some kind of idea as to your connection speed.

He may have satellite...but I don't know how he could have played for a month.  Even games like Diablo II on PC lags with satellite, thanks to the 500ms delay.  Thank God for Bellsouth!

He doesn't have satellite.. Look at his first post, he mentions the site: http://www.db3broadband.com/
That site is a wireless broadband ISP.
