For what it's worth...

I myself would pay $20 every 6 months for 9 maps!  My goodness, we're paying $2 a gallon for gas, almost as much for a jug of water and $5 for canned air!  Just buy the maps or wait for them to be free, period.  It's not M$'s problem if you can't wait.. why couldn't you wait anyways ?  If you love the game that much were you can't wait, what's the problem?  Just don't understand...

u do know that halo2 has sold alot of copies right.
its not free 2 host these maps for free.
its not free 2 develope these maps

how can people bitch so much about a game, and still play it? if sumthing sux, i personaly dont use it. if u dont want 2 pay 20$ for 9 maps, then dont. no1 is making u. every1 that is against this 20$ DLC, u should b happy that u can get it 4 free. but of course, ur all 2 impatient 2 wait that long. lets do some math:
20/9=2.23$
2.23$ a map!? development, hosting the maps on xbl or making all those dvds for people who dont have xbl. u should also b happy that they r making disc for every1.

i will say, that halo2 wus rushed. however, if you could have waited a month or 2, it would have been better. and with a huge halo2 community, how can u not expect them 2 find glitches n this networking stuff?

I think its BS how they are doing this.

I play Call of Duty and United Offensive, when they release patches for it there are always new maps/gametypes/and bug fixes, for free of course.  Why can't bungie/MS do this?  Well because they use the "People who don't have XBL can't get the maps" excuse to cover it up and make more money.  They should make all the maps and bug fixes free, and if you dont have XBL, thats your own falt.  Also wouldn't you think if they released new maps only available on XBL, that it might incourage people who don't already have live to go and get it?

They are just cheap bastards.....
