Statecowboy.. The feeling's mutual!! No hard feelings to anyone... I agree with you that M$ is smart I don't blame them for charging us (I think it sucks and is unfair)

but at the same time if they were looking out for customers they would have had other games available via cd

20 dollars is nothing to me and most other people on the site, but it's not about the $$

we pay for live and the content should be free, always has been

I am sorry if I fail to see how this helps the loyal consumers, they are just taking advantage like xboxbox451 stated already...

to each their own... I just purchased a house and I have more important things to worry about. ok time to read these condo docs

lets examine the Halo 2 situation from the start..halo 2's release date was puched back multiple times...at least 3 that I can remember...it takes them 3 years to develope it, and when they finally do release it, its so full of holes and cheats that they are still trying to fix it. then they take almost 6 months to even tell us when the new maps will be released, which is going to happen in stages over the next few months....and that they are going to charge money for the maps. This is ridiculous....bungie sold us an unfinished product...which still doesnt work...and then they are going to charge us again for more maps which I would be willing to bet good money will have or lead to just as many problems as the others. I dont know what the hell the guys who develope this game are doing on a day to day basis....but I feel a little insulted that they expect me to believe they are working on the game. Now I am without a doubt gonna pay to download the games when they are released on live...and Ill buy the disc when it comes out too....because Im a halo fanatic. But I feel more than a little like bungie is bending me over...and I know Im not alone...look at all the threads about the crappy ending when it was first released..and all the threads about the glitches and cheating.

Charging $20 for the disc with maps on it is fine, and a good way to get it to people who do not have live. But for those who have paid the full year subscription for live, they should not have to pay for the dlc maps. This is how it should be, but i'm not surprised with how they are going to do it.

A good business moves, but BS nonetheless.
