I'm becoming a big battle rifle fan. I used to be a bit of a lazy dual SMG (s)prayer, but the last few weeks I have tried to only use weapons that require more accuracy to improve my skills, and it's working out nicely. My frag rate has trebled, and the beam rifle has also become a close friend.

A agree. The carbine is the replacement for the pistol of Halo 1. It takes a few more shots but I still love it.
