For those of you that don't already know, a new glitch was found in Halo 2. It gives you the ability to Sword Lunge great distances.

How it works:
Using any weapon besides the sword [the Rocket Launcher is recommended], target an enemy. When the reticule turns red [you CANNOT be zoomed in] you are ready to "Super Sword Lunge."
Press Y to switch to your sword.
As soon as you press Y immediately start pressing the Right Trigger. If done correctly your character should fly towards the enemy you were targeting and once you reach that enemy you should attack them and kill them.
[Note: It can be done with any weapon, un-zoomed. Even weapons such as te Warthog turrets, except you press X to exit the vehicle rather than Y.]

I have tried this on Headlong playing on Split-Screen to test it. I was standing at the highway, where it starts to go into the air. I placed player 2 up onto the building across the field, where you can get a Rocket Launcher. I targeted play 2, did what's explained above, and flew to player 2 for an instant kill.

Well, like I said. I didn't see it posted so I posted this. If it's been posted, meh, let this die.

yeah, i'm having trouble doin' this also. as soon as it changes recticules, the sword recticule no longer is red so i can't lunge. <

Yea, it is kinda difficult. You have to practice. I can do it about 9 out of 10 times. <

if you got good enough to do it in the middle of a game... but i doubt someone like that would be a sword whore (who by def has no skill)...

Yes... you can do this on Live. You can do it in split-screen, sys link, Live, probably even Campaign.

I found it by playing with friends and exploring the levels, looking for glitches. We would use the sword trick to jump places and I always had rocket launcher on for fun. I did it a few times before I knew that I actually did it because I was trying to kill a friend with the sword. So I switched from the RL to the sword and started tapping the trigger and went flying. I eventually figured out how to repeat it. <

Damnit. Here come people using these tricks on Live. You Bungie, we got a glitch for ya to fix.
Edit: This trick is very time-consuming and the target has time to move out of the way before he is hit. I was able to pull it off 3 out of 40 times

. If someone wants to use this on Live, he'll have to master this trick and when people do, the game will suck big time.

. Hope Bungie fixes this.

i dont really think its that big of a deal... dosnt really work to well. me and my friend were trying it on live and it was rather hard to pull off at first. The only thing i thought was cool was if u did it while the enemy was in a banshee. you would fly up to them and jack them :lol: but other then that i cant see this being a very big deal. the one u do from the car is the coolest. Sit in the drivers side seat of the warthog and get ur buddy to land bside u and try to hit him with the sword ... make him fly away and when u get out of the car ur character will fly after him :lol: im sure bungie will fix it.. give them some time ( well on live anyways) <

1. Yes this will work on Live,splitscreen,system link and Campaign.
2. This has been around HIHs, ibonk and bungie.nets forums for 2-3 weeks buts its the first time it was posted here .
3. Its actually pretty easy to do with practice but is only effective in the slightest in games against unskilled players ( I refuse to say noob)
4. I dont think it warrants a fix. Now being able to grab the flag on zanzibar through the steps, now that warrants a fix. A whole lot of strange things in Zanzibar CTF
