are you sure they didn't just rush straight for your base and get the flag while you weren't ready?
It might be possible but I havent heard of it. The only flag glitches I have seen are throwing the flag through the wall in Battle Creek, and doing a sword jump with the flag on Blood Gulch

Maybe you should just play the game as it was intended and stop looking so hard for a cheat.

Calm down children the man has a legit concern regardless of his desire to use it. I too have seen many strange games of ctf ZB. The only glitch I directly know of is the "flag through the steps" Definently merits further research

yeah iv experianced something when like 10 seconds afte trthe round started it said "blue/Red team has your flag" and i was like "omg he has to be hacking or glitching". i do know the one where you pick up the flag through the stairs but i dont know how he glitches into the base.

wuts the coag sword trick, not gulch. since there is no sword in that level though.

Ok, I didn't see the vid. But Halo 2 is obviously extreamly glitchy.
The 10 second flag grab I can do with out cheating. It's called a ghost! I can get to the base befor most people have the rocket launcher. the sword flying/jumping is cheap and easy. M$ fuct up royaly by not letting you set up the games you want to play. I know there are tricks for almost every game on almost all of the levels. I'd personally like to avoid cheaters at all costs.

some bastards caught us with the zanzibar stair trick last night, it was just in the stairwell, i was sat near it with the shotty ready to kill any mofos who tried to get it. Then BAM it just dissapeared and "Red Team Has The Flag" WTF!? so when the game was over i reported them suckers 5 times for cheating, hope they get banned now.

And I thought I was crazy. I was like it returned so fast? Nope they got it, but how? I was watching, I thought maybe an invisible dude took it at first, but we had an invisible sniper so that wasn't possible. The camo wouldn't have repawned that fast.

How does the stair trick work?

More important. Where should I gaurd if you think someone is going to use it on me?

not much you can do about the stair trick
if the flag is outside, your going to have to have someone outside to stop glitchers from picking it up

the best way to guard it would be to have a guy in either of the front walkways (the ones with a pilar in the middle) watching the middle of the front of base, a guy upstairs near the gate opener (but in the hallway behind it and out of sniper sight) and a guy downstairs by the needler... anything happens, go help your teammate...
