Your Favorite Map And Least Liked Map

I probably have to go with Burial Mounds for my favorite and Headlong as my least favorite atm.  What about you guys?

LEAST FAVORITE- I'm going to agree with you on Headlong being the least favorite.  My neighbors love that board, I have yet to see why....

FAVORITE - All depends on the game really.  Slayer/TS I'd go with Ascension and Ivory; Single Flag CTF is Zanzibar; Assault is Burial Mounds.

Haha, after reading that I like most of them, except for Headlong and Waterworks.  Blood Gulch unfortunately went way down on my list from Halo 1 to Halo 2 :(

least favs are burial mounds and midship...

i cant stand assault in burial mounds... every fucking time i play it it ends in 0:0 unless the other team really sucks... way too easy to defend that base... midship i just find annoying, maybe its all the colors...


favs are lockout and ascension...

for slayer, oddball and crazy king lockout is too much fun and ascension rules as long as theres not some jackass in the banshee that the person with the rockets convieniently doesnt notice... colossus is ok but everyone just stays around the 'elevator'* or snipes...  <_<


for ctf, beaver creek rules as always...  ;)

*which is fine as it gets pretty hectic in the middle but you often spawn at the flag bases and have to run forever to get back in the action... snipers always piss me off if its a slayer, get in the damn game!

I dont much care for Waterworks.


Burial mounds is an excellent TS sniper level.

Honestly the only ones I DO like are lockout, ascension and beaver creek. Not quite in the same level but still decent enough are Ivory Tower and Colossus.

Midship: Too small and repetetive grounds.

Burial mounds: By far my least fav. It's huge, its hard to get a decent gun, it looks like shit, completely asymetric. It's just garbage. Oh and I also hate that sound that it makes. It sounds like a rusty gate swinging.

Zanzibar/Headlong: both sort of the same deal. Too asymetric and theres too much shit lying around them. They went for a realism type theme with these and I do not like it.

Coagulation: I loved old blood gulch but have yet to have fun with coagulation. I think part of that is the games live makes me play like assault and ctf. Not fun. Halo 1 ctf was good, they killed it here.

Waterworks: Enormous, dark, annoying shaking thing. Bleh.


Come to think of it, most of the maps I like run games like slayer, odball and KoTH. I used to love CTF but they ruined it in halo 2 so that is probably a big part of why I don't enjoy the bigger outdoor maps.

I kind of like the new CTF.  Prolly because your either doing all defense or all offense.  With smaller teams, traditional ctf is kind of hard.  The only thing I dont like about the new halo is once in a while you get a retarded game type.  I was playing rumble pit and it gave us fuckin odd ball.  Slayer odd ball is based pretty much on luck.  Also, I was doing a head to head once and it gave us swords only and constant overshield which was bs.

I hate the Headlong level.  There is just to much open space.  It seems to just take forever to play that level.

zanzibar- makes for sweet anything and has got that sweet warthog murdering fan in the middle

Coagulation(blood gultch)- fun to play w/ noob freinds at lan partys cause they always get the tank and its unsnipeable..lost its halo 1 capture the flag fun..

waterworks is just plain frigin huge...maybe 2 huge

ivory tower- great for a small 4 player on one xbox ffa but thats about it

the outside urban one whos name i am to dumb to remember....kinda like falluja or at least thats what my friends call it....

i love all the maps except for collossus, too mny fags with a sniper rifle waiting in the top where u cant see them
