BTW, I was very pleased with the Halo 2 story line. So what if half of it's missing, the half that we seen was pretty damn cool I thought.

first of all that is a good statement about normal boxes not being as powerful as the development ones but why would they develop a game on a more powerful machine that wouldnt be playable to the masses on there less powerful xbox?

I always thought it would be cool to do some of the missons in Fall Of Reach (first book) before Master Chief is complete in his armor.  It would change the game a lot thought.

anyways tho halo 2 mmmm all i can think of is money ,too much of it and see i do believe MS as greedy as they are,just are trying to stretch the story of halo into more than just 2 games(books, movies,toys,lunchboxes,etc.) the point is your idea about MS turning it into a franchise really from a business standpoint seem exactly what there doing.i mean come on the first game lets the monkey filled masses know how good the game is,builds the fanbase for all the hardcore gamers,then ms releases halo 2 builds an even wider audience and so on and so fourth,i mean to put in prespective how many people played super mario bros in teh time when nes and snes where teh peak of the industry?

i did just notice too how the halo 2 commercial is ya all about invasion of earth,and shows new mombasa now what the fuck isnt that false advertising,showing parts of the game that dont actually exist to the public?somebody with some spare time on there hands should really look into a suit with ms lol

There are three books.  Fall Of Reach, The Flood, and First Stirke.  Fall of Reach is before halo, The Flood during halo, First Strike after halo before halo 2.  about 19.99 off ebay..

really? only 20 for all of them?  Thats a good deal, i loved those books.  Plot wise they are amazing, but i dont think the game's plot can keep up with the books, but you learn a lot about Halo through them.
