Halo 2 Multi: Suicide Weirdness?
« on: November 13, 2004, 02:42:00 AM »

So, here's the thing, everytime we finish a game, we always have a bunch of suicides listed at the end of game stats. Which wouldn't be weird except:

A: No one ever remembers getting any suicides in-game

and

B: The suicides never count against our score.

Sometimes the numbers are just freaky weird, we're talking seven, eight suicides, way more than one person could ever manage in a match, much less in EVERY match.

Is this happening to anyone else?

roninx7---- i can answer your question.hosts have the ability to make suciudes minus your score.you could be falling and that counts as suicide, other than that the guardians maybe?(i get that in laggy games, and its because of a vehicle im flipping over lands on me)

trentdadi---- bonus points dude.another host controlled option.it gives you like 2 kills for every 1 kill ,4 kills for every 2,5 kills for a double kill and so on fucking stupid if u ask me about this option!

and ninja your rite!

I probably should have mentioned, these aren't online games, just linked XBOX games. And we know we don't have the suicide count turned off because times we legitimately do kill ourselves (usually mistiming a jump on Lockout), those ones DO take our score down. It's just these weird "phantom" suicides that never happened and just show up at random on the score card at the end.

Looks like we're the only ones with this problem. Well, not a problem really, since it doesn't affect our gaming any, it's just, you know, weird.
