Who wants to play Splinter Cell multiplayer anyway? Plus, sprinting would be useless because you have no weapons, and you can still be sniped. Were you planning on running up next to a warthog? The game is fine! Secondly, leaning... fuck that. Who cares. It's an amazing FPS. It's an amazing game overall. Bungie made no promises other than the promise that Halo was actually coming out.
