tongue.gif  I was all excited about getting halo 2 and jamming out with my girl friend and I on xbox live but now I am very disappointed. Come to find out that if you have more than one player all the other players become “guests” on your live account and then you are limited to playing training ground! We try to connect any way and it takes like 2 or 3 minutes to find connect and setup a game!  We finally get in and play it seems pretty cool the game ends and then we are taken back to the waiting screen and have to wait another 2 minutes!

Does any one else to seem to have this problem? The other thing is my girlfriend and I like slayer and team slayer like games and training ground only seems to pick capture the flag like games witch we don’t really like (I know I know lots of people love ctf but we just don’t realy get into it no flames please). I am surprised how few options you have if you want to get some of your friends over and kick some butt. With halo 1 I would get 3 of my friends to come over and it was a great experience but bungie seemed to ignore this type of game style. I really hope the do some work in this area because I’m thinking of just going back to xbconnect. At least there you had total control of you games and it also does not take 2 mins to find some one to play. Sorry if I rambled on but just wanted to let every one else know using halo 2 live and more than one player really sucks.

So.  This feature is mainly for when your buddies come over and you want to play for fun.  Not competitively.  If you want to do that I would think you would want a full screen to yourself.

You can also play with guests in Custom Games, which gives you the extra bonus of being able to decide exactly what game you want to play.  The best way to play Halo 2 on Live seems to be to start a Party and just run Custom Games.  That way you don't have to wait for the 2-5 minute Matchmaking.
