I guess it depends on what part of the game you are talking about. As for single player, Halo 2 is better in my opinion. Its deeper and you can tell that there was a lot of time put into it. As far as multiplayer goes, Halo 1 > Halo 2. I personally think that they had a good thing and changed it way too much trying to be more newb freindly. It feels like all the weapons are too similar (damage wise) and that the game doesn't require that much skill anymore. All the fun stuff like fast reloading, double melee, and grenading items has been taken out. I guess when other glitches and expoits are found, Halo 2 might be more fun though. As for now, I still prefer playing Halo 1.

i just think people over hyped it. they made it more(some people think) than it is. im personally happy with it. i think there are somethings like the grenade throwin i have to get used to but overall i like it. im glad the pistol is gone

cause personaly i thought it was cheap. how can a pistol kill a man with an assult rifle or shotgun. ive been in both spots so im not mad cause it happened to me. ive done it too and that was truly unrealistic. i think im just more used to halo 1 than 2 but after i get used to it i wont miss halo 1. i may miss the maps like sidewinder and hang em high but the new ones r kool i guess.

How do 140 people view this post and I only see 25 votes...1 being my own? I dig 2 because of the game rules/vehicles and whatnot. I wish you could turn the sword off on any level. I've gone from down 15 from the lead to winning a slayer match to 25 after I picked up the sword. I was like, "Damn, that's what I call the noob stick." So many kai games right now are swords only, boooring. Apcki, I heard you won the Halo 2 tourney in Knoxville, cool beans and big ups.

Well, looks like the next biggest release is The Urbz. yay...

well I prefer Halo 2! Halo will not be missed... well I will go back and play old classic missions when i get bored with Halo 2 which will be later next year lol

If I could vote twice I would vote for both.

Campaign mode is richer in Halo 2.
So far I still like halo better for multiplayer. Although all the vehicles and weapons, dual wielding are pretty cool in halo two... boards are too big for small groups. <

The only thing better about Halo 1 than Halo 2 is that in Halo 2, the FMVs require like a second or two to load everything. Sometimes, someone's hat will appear and then a second later the person will be there and then after another second the bump maps will be there. But as for everything else, I do believe that Halo 2 has lived up to my expectations and in fact has surpased them. <

Halo 2 is a breeze of fresh air for me. I wasnt very good at it and if they kept Halo 2 the same Id rather not pay it onlne seeing as to how there are people who devoted their life to Halo 1, Id never get a kill because frankly I have a life outside Halo and cant sepnd every second of my living life perfecting every damn skill in Halo hence I can say I suck at Halo. I admire Bungie for taking out the uber powerful pistol and dont like the idea of having my AR taken away but everyone has opinions and likes and dislikes. I can surely say Halo 1 will not be missed and am just hoping or glithces and mods to be done to Halo 2. True Halo 2 is more n00b friendly and I hear many of the "HALO GODS" complaining on the other boards, but I say this to them. Overall Halo 2 lived up to my expectations and then some. Cant say anything about graphics as I still use an old 20 inch TV with basic connections but Im satisfied as one of my frined still uses an RF adapter with an uber old 18 inch or so TV. Props to Bungie on a good game. My vote goes to Halo 2. Hope they have smaller downloadable maps as some are way too big for me and my bro to play in offline. <
