First offwhat a beautiful game.

Regardless your reaction to the plot/ending, I think most will agree that the efforts made to capture that original Halo feel mingled with the attention to detail (in the graphics/rendering sense) and overall expanse of the game really pay off in the final product. Nice job, Bungie. (Ok, thats out of my system.)
For all of you who have followed the rumors, hype and all-out lies about Halo 2, this will be a non-surprise topicand I apologize if this has been pegged elsewhere. Many of you are aware that there are unlockable features in the game. More specifically (and anyone who was lucky enough to get a preview copy and play on Kai over the past week will attest) the multiplayer level Foundation. Foundation is a sort of variation on the original Halo mp level Wizard and is not available in your map list for mp when you first fire up the game.
Other forums have mentioned that the level is unlocked by beating the game. Well, Ive read those posts and Ive beat the game (twice now, once on Normal and once on Heroic) and sadly, no Foundation map showed up in my system-link map directory. After some trial and error last night, I finally figured it out, and thought it might be worth sharing:
1.
Play all the way through the single player campaign on whichever difficulty level you choose.
2.
Watch through the game ending and credits (trust me, youll want to watch through the end of the credits anyway)
3.
After being returned to the main menu, choose campaign again, but this time go to level select.
4.
Choose the final level (again), but this time play it on Easy difficulty
5.
Beat the level (again) and wait through the credits (again)
6.
Now, from your main menu, choose system-link and go to maps in your quick-game options.
***The multiplayer level Foundation is now available***
Of course, if you play through the entire game on easy, the above is irrelevantbut the unlock ONLY happens when you finish the final level on easy difficulty.
Hope it helps!
