I could see if it was before the street date. I've seen some LE Halo 2's on eBay that sold for a pretty penny (most over $125 US)...

Are you talking about this auction?ebay

No, it's not like your example at all... if a consumer walks into the store and buys 5 copies of Halo 2 LE and sells them at a profit at another time then good for them, it's captializim... if a store employee buys 5 copies from his own store, before the public has a chance to buy them it means NEVER giving the public a chance to buy them and he is taking advantage of his position, which is NOT capitalism, it is closer to insider trading then anything else.   -roar

i don't recall him saying anything about buying BEFORE the release date.

i bought the LE just because, why not, its 5 bucks more and its a shiny case to remember one of the most anticipated games ever released.
but about the profit... i just dont see it happening really.
who knows.. there are retarted ppl who buy shit at outragious prices because they are stupid and buy into gimmicks.

if you want to spend 500 bucks to get 10 copies... then hold on to them copies for a year, and sell them for 100 each, making 500 profit (unlikely) ...
then i dont know.. i think anyone with some intelligence could turn 500 into a lot more than  1000 in a years time...

eh...
