I can confirm for you guys with 100% certainty:

THERE IS NO CO-OP SYSTEM LINK - PERIOD

As yet no-one is certain if they have taken the Full Spectrum Warrior route and ditched system link co-op for xbox live, we will have to see.

Dont even bitch about the picture because that co-op button takes you straight into split-screen mode.

THERE IS NO CO-OP SYSTEM LINK.. I promise you, sad as it is.

nathan no offense but ur full of shit

as i sed before and someone else in this thread does agree with me as does the mod, ther is co-op sys link.but u cant have one person on an xbox for the game to run.the host needs 2 people on the same xbox to be played over system link.that being said i have no idea how many people can join nor do i know if they have eto have 2 people on ther box to play

correct , if you see on HALO the co-op button is inside the System Link area , so they did the same on HALO 2 , but that doesnt mean that is playable over System Link.

It is said that in the system link menu, there is a co-op selection. When highlighted and selected, it says there has to be more than one person at a single Xbox to play co-op over system link. If you attach two controllers to a single Xbox and choose system link, it will work. But, I am not sure if another Xbox is included if it will work. I assume so..

Why would there be a co-op selection in system link if there was no co-op system link?

But regardless, IGN has said that over Xbox Live, there can be a single user at each Xbox doing co-op campaigning

There's no System Link COOP. The message says exactly this "Coop requires two players on a SINGLE Xbox". Even if you chooose switch to Coop mode when in the System Link menu, it will just have that message and force you to play split screen coop.

There is no Xbox Live co-op. There is no System Link co-op. I don't know what's up with Xbox.com.au or whatever, but the only form of cooperative play is via split-screen on one Xbox. The screen can split vertically if you're using a widescreen TV, though which gives each person a bit more real estate. I know you guys are probably just clinging to every last bit of hope that it will be there (I probably would be too if I were in your shoes), but it's split-screen only.

Yes, for you right handers anyway.

I'm left handed and I've never needed to change any controls, just the y axis sometimes.
seriously, it doesn't take very long to get used to the controls the way everyone else does it.  It will benefit you later to be able to just pickup a game and play away.

EDIT: You'd think that having split screen coop would be more taxing on the xbox, rather then having system link coop, with just one player on each xbox.  What am i missing here?

So I guess no 720p. No system link campaign co-op. And no Live Campaign co-op?

How awesome would it have been to have more than 2 players playing in co-op campaign mode... sad.gif

Co-op is for two players only.

i think we nailed that one...but everyone agrees to be able to go through the game with four people would have been, well, different...and different is good...whoa, maybe not that different

The way games are coming out these days, you'd think that us gamers are the only one's with good ideas...syslink co-op, syslink co-op 4 player, and who cares about live.
