smile.gif. Im doing the midnight release also, Gettgin there at 10 pm and waiting till the midnight opening thing and bullshitting around with other halo 2 fans. Ive got 75 people from my school going with me, then were going to my friends house for a 24 hour lan party with halo 2. We already have the TV's set up, the cables ran, and the controllors waiting, all thats needed is the xbox's and the halo 2 copies. I got 3 because I have 1 modded xbox, and I borrowed 3 stock xbox's for this party. Were having 16 player games. With around 50 people there in total. We have somethingof like 10 tv's so far, and 16 xbox's, and 16 copies of halo 2 on pre order, and just in case some poeple dont get it we also have 4 modded xbox's. smile.gif GONNA BE AWESOME. biggrin.gif

I've found the best way to get a game a day or two early is to pre-order it from a store in mall that also has a competitor in the same location.  For example, there is an EB and a Gamestop both in a local mall, I order from one of those and almost always it is ready the day before or at the latest the day of release.  They use the upgraded shipping to not fall behind the competitor, and cut the little corners to get your business again (because you can always just walk 100ft to the other store.)

[MY TWO CENTS]  Pre-ordering is just a scam. EB and GS always claim that reserving a copy is the way to go. "We are exspecting the game to be sold out on it release." Bullsh*t! Even if EB or GS was to sell out, best buy always has full shelf. The only reason i would reserve a copy of a game would be if it offered something extra. Like having the game before it release (not by a few hours either). Howw about some extra content nobody else would get unless they reserved a copy. IT IS JUST A PLOY TO MAKE SOME MONEY! I like pre-ordering-- this summer, I had money and preordered 4 games that come out in the fall and winter, when I know I'll be in school and broke as a joke.

I could play this game 10 hours straight I bet, but I'd have to switch to the regualr controller after several hours.  The knobs on the left stick of the S-type make me thumb sore.   rotfl.gif
