Quick Hdd Question
« on: April 27, 2004, 04:11:00 AM »

Hi everyone

I'm selling my xbox harddisk (160GB, not stock) to someone, but do I need to do something to it before he can use it? Maybe unlocking it (although I didn't lock it i believe)???

Thanx in advance!

Use ConfigMagic and *make sure it is unlocked*. It is of no use to him if it is locked.
Of course, if you don't think you locked it - then you probably didn't so no wucking furries.  ;) He can format it himself for his own use.

Thanx for the response.

Id didn't lock it on purpose, but maybe THC auto installer did, I guess it's just not locked right no.?
And of course he wants the contents of the drive, so games/dashes etc have to stay on!

EASY WAY TO CHECK IF LOCKED:

Go to EvoX
Settings
and you will see: Harrdrive lock DISABLED!

So i know it's not locked, this thread can be locked now though

I've had some problems with my xbox recently (it needed a motherboard replacement) and on opening evox, it suggests that my F: drive has no free or total space. It also for the first time says "lock disabled" can someone please tell me if my dealer ripped me off and didn't put my 120gb HD back in, or if there is some way to fix this. Thanks :)
