Wtf Is Up With My Psp
« on: February 15, 2006, 05:48:00 PM »

Why does it seem like I can only download pics from my comp. when my psp feels like it. I tried dragging and dropping, saving it to the psp, copying and pasting, nothing works. Sometimes they go on without a hassle, sometimes it takes a couple of tries, and other times it just wont work. It seems like its about to work, the download line shows up on the psp and it shows the file on it from my comp. but when I detach the usb, no more pic! WTF? I've never been able to download vids. either. Anybody know whats going on? Thanks

As Jamie said, it could be the cable, if not, it might just be the USB port on your PC (the physical USB card/port or drivers). Try reinstalling them.

But first, try the same cable on another USB port, if it works, you can rule out the cable.

I've had the exact same problem yesterday, the cause was the cheap USB cable I was using.

would it have anything to do with the size or text in the file name?

Yes, I also had the same problem.  It is indeed caused by cheap USB cables.  I have had a lot of success using my cheap USB cable by stretching it out so there is just a hint of tension on the line, and leaving the PSP perfectly still... but all cheap USB cables have different quirks, just telling you mine.

Can't believe I registered an account just to post this...  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)
