Ghost Recon 2 Controller Settings

TO ALL --

I have a friend who is left-handed.   In R63 and R63-BA he can change his controller to a left-handed setting such that the fire button is his left trigger.

However, he cannot find this setting in Ghost Recon 2.   It has a "lefty" setting, but the fire button is still on his right trigger instead of his left.

Has anyone found a way, either through a setting or a game 'enhancement', to allow you to either remap buttons or import controller setting options from other games into Ghost Recon 2?

Since Ubisoft was involved in both games, I have a hard time believing this option is in one game and not the other.  But I simply cannot find it.

Any help from the throbbing-brain would be appreciated.  The key here is to get the "fire" button on the LEFT trigger.
