man... i'll believe it when i see it but i sure hope it's true.  What an awesome thing that would be if it were to be released.  I dont think anything like that has ever been done.  And it would gain a lot of attention for the good ol' box

Fable is listed as well... When is fable supposed to be released. TBA 2004

That trade in thing isn't much to go by, and neither is the wish list, who DOESNT wish for Halo2 no matter what time it's released.

Also, there would be no way that Halo would go platinum the same day that Halo2 is released it just doesn't make much marketing sense.

I doubt it's true, however it would be freakin awsome if it was  smile.gif

their would be a point in platinum halo and halo 2 on the same day. people go into buy halo 2 and think ooo halo 1 for only 19.99, never had a chance to played that... bargain.... deed done.... smile.gif

I personally dont think its happening... EVERYONE would be in on the secret... thats a lot of mouths to silence... Retailers.... MS.... Publishers.... Developers.... Marketing....

Although my m8, stragely said a few weeks ago he heard that Halo 2 was finished and MS were just waiting for something to do with live to happen. v2.0 released perhaps?, 'they wanted to do something special' he said.... freaky how this has all turned out now.

If it did tho, i for one would be VERY impressed, i dont recall anything this large scale happening.

I really doubt it will happen, but it would give them a HELL of a holiday sales season if it did come true.

Remember that even the xbox price drop slipped out weeks before back in 2002?  There is no way they could keep this secret...

But, don't get your hopes up guys. That webpage with the rumors, has some fake stories too (the one about the Halo 2 commercial)

More than likely.. Halo 2 is not coming out this year.

well  if im right i read a thing about game cube selling more systems than xbox on the X-S news page about a week ago so if they just DROP a HALO 2 bomb on the market it might help them there  and i dont watch the ps2 or game cube new mutch  but as far as i know the game that PS2 is pushing is socom2  and if thats all that halo 2 has to compeat with for a game that most all of the xbox owning world has wanted sence about the the day after they beat the game  i mean hell halo was sutch a hit that pll came out with game spy and xbconnect to play it on  but my only wory is for those of us with AGP3 at the end of the month for me its going to be all that i can do to keep from playing it non stop

It would be a good idea, certainly keep xbox sales above GC and maybe even sway PS2 buyers towards Xbox this christmas.

still I cant see it happening.
