I would go buy a hot glu gun if you can find them (they have em here in the states at the dollar stores!  I could ship you one if you wanted... The problem I had with tape was that it ended up coming lose and yanking the connection up with it!  Hot glue on the other hand is awsome.

You should be able to fix the traces on the chip just like you fixed the traces on the board.  If not, you could always get another chip or just flash the TSOP!
