Nah they would change the colour, and shape a little bit.
What has Nintendo introduced to console gaming...
Using Scarts (NES)
Network/internet connectivity (NES - I think, but SNES definate)
Shoulder buttons (SNES)
3D FX(SNES)
Analouge Sticks (N64)
Rumble Pack (N64)
Full 3D Worlds (N64) - not psx by the way, The concept was stolen by Sony going solo. So Nintendo had to build a new console quick thus the N64. and not the Nintendo Playstation (Original name for the add-on for the snes)
Full Handheld connectivity (GBA, NGC)
Touch Screen (NDS)
Wii-mote (Wii)
What has Sony brought...
besides using the original Nintendo name as their brand ( thats just down right bad, If it was university work thats an instant fail)
The camera (PS2)
Dual Analouge???
ummm..... dunno if anyone else wants to add pls do so.
All the above that Nintendo has introduced sony has copied and used alot better, seen the weak spots and improved it slightly.
lol.......so nintendo started internet connectivity huh?....lol
ill pay a
small large fortune for what your smoking......lol
two words for you, sega....channel......
Sony started the crappy analogue buttons (or pressure sensitive buttons) thing
oh wait, no sega started that with the l/r buttons on the saturn analogue controller.
sega started cd based gaming
sega started handheld connectivity with their VMU packs for the DC. Nintendo was just expanding on the idea.
saturn was the first multiprocessor console.
3d fx? seen that on the genesis before snes
full 3d worlds? neither sony nor nintendo came up with that idea!.....lol
the idea was in response to sega's virtua series (virtua racing comes to mind). In fact sega had a patent on full 3d worlds!!....lol
And another thing (this is probably the only time im gonna defend sony so enjoy it while it lasts), that sony/nintendo deal your talking about. Its really stupid for anyone to try and make sony the bad guy in that situation. SONY GOT RIPPED OFF BY NINTENDO! make no mistake about it. Sony came to nintendo with the playstation (yes they come up wit the name not nintendo) after seeing sega's plans for the sega cd. Nintendo was not enthused but saw some potential. So they courted sony until they can get what they want (the 3d technology) and ended the deal. Later on sony saw their technology appearing in the form of the "super fx" chip that was installed on cartridges. Sony was not happy but revenge is sweet. And the rest is history.
