the console vs console thing is always trouble. It is true everyone tries to stick up for their system. such as psx vs n64. this will always be the case. Me i try not to be a fanboy just a collector, i have alot of systems, and i even have the x360, which is neatly tucked away, until some games come out that I enjoy. That is what people fail to realize it's what someone enjoys. Someone in an earlier post bashed sony's supposed line-up asking where was the ghost recon or gears of war or what not. well for gears of war i think it's xbox 360 only, but the creator epic is supposedly releasing unreal tournament 2007 on pc and ps3. which in the end is better than gears of war. but nevermind that, anyways I was looking over the list and alot of games I would enjoy playing. you say ghost recon, half-life 2, fear etc etc. and to tell you the truth those games do not interest me, i've never liked any of the ghost recon games, only played 1 splinter cell game, half-life 2 beat it because i wanted to see what the storyline was about. FEAR tried the first level and stopped playing it, because it did nothing for me. All of this is a matter of what you like. How sony has so many rpg's and that's one of the main reasons they sell so much in japan and all. MS realisez this and higher people to make more rpg's for their system. It's hard to globally make a system great. like the japanese are into the fantasy, and rpg kind of games which is what sony is naitive to and i enjoy those games, and MS is naitive to americans and we're usually classified as the action, shooting, fighting, blowing stuff up, and cool catch phrases. Like halo. I don't min fanboys it's just when they fail to realize the truth, that they wont' accept it. like yes i feel that xbox is a more powerful system, but to me ps2 is better, since i play it more and enjoy the games more. there are only a few games i play on my xbox mind you i do not include games that are multiplatform. but when it comes down to everything it's just the game, and sometimes aruements just go too far.
If you had to ask me, in the end i'd say MS would win, not because their better but because they have money. They won't back down they'll keep releasing systems until their competitors can't compete because they don't have the cash flow like MS does., but on the other hand maybe MS won't be as successful since alot of people steer away from MS because they're MS... and they just finally give up. For sony, I have to give them respect they're trying they dont' have the funs like MS but they're trying. Ps2 was something that they basically did by themselves which i commend, while ms had nvidia and nintendo had ati which was cool too. Now ps3 seems like a beta tester incorporating cell, which it helped produce and putting it in it's system and ibm says on a daily basis they're figuring out ways to make it smaller and simpler everytime. so we'll probably see cell soon enough in pc's. So i consider sony innovative even though others don't and i consider nintendo... well they're nintendo LOL and i'm also rooting for MS because i enjoy some of their games. they really should stop trying to conquer the market and just bring the best gaming experience they can.
