Try a pci video card (Im sure you have one of those laying around) or a friends video card. Maybe its just the video card thats DOA.

does the motherboard also have onboard video? if so it is probably sending the video output through that and you have to hook the monitor to that, change the settings to use the video card, then plug the monitor into the card..

Can you try plugging it into a different monitor - is the monitor you are hooked up to a new one? Some flat panel monitors are funny and wont accept some resolutions - hook up the PC to an old VGA monitor and see if that works.

Im stumped then. You might just have to suck in your pride and take the rig to your local PC shop and be polite. If it is a small problem then they will fix it for you on the spot - possibly without charge if you buy something from them and smile lots.

Well he got back, and apparantly it's 90% the mobo's fried, as it doesn't beep when it turns on. So I'm sending it back and getting a replacement I believe!
