Photoprinter
« on: December 25, 2004, 05:41:00 PM »

I got a digi cam for christmas (casio exilim z50, 5 megapixel) and I need a good printer for it.
the pictures look great on the screen but printed versions just dont live up to my expectations so I'm thinking its that my printer just isnt up to part (it isnt really a photo printer)
I was thinking about getting one of those small printeres that is specific for photos, but I dont knwo which one.  are they worth the investment or is the quality not as good a s a full sized printer?
anyone have any experience with a good photo printer which they would reccomend.

thanks
pedro

If you mean like a little 4x6 printer, HP's Photosmart 375 is great, and if you want a fullsize photo printer, get something like an HP Photosmart 7260, its cheap and it gets the job done

bump for anyone who might have some input

Ive read taht sub-dye printers offer much better print quality.
Is the difference enough to justify the added expense and the the hassle of dealing with proprietary print media?

thanks

Well I dunno about those small printers coz I haven't used one...
But I got an Epson Stylus r310 and that pumps good quality photo's and the r210 is the same but less features...and cheaper aswell...
Dunno if your into that one but works for me !!!
