Is It Possible To Use Copy Track On Live?
« on: May 19, 2004, 07:06:00 PM »

MS just announce PGR2 new download contents.
A new city paris with US$ 4.99.

my question is can I copy the downloaded track from my Xbox and transfer it to my friends' Xbox (FTP), and both of us can use this track to race on LIVE?

Do I need to resign the download contents? thank you all.

If you know where the content is on the HD, I guess, and I don't think you can resign non-XBE files.

http://www.xbox-saves.com/

Use their saves manager.

The extra content is -USUALLY- stored in the game save folder or it's pair.

The Saves Manager attempts to take care of any machine specific items too.

It's FREE!

It's AWESOME!

It WORKS!

----

Note; USUALLY (though I'm not sure about this particular game) extra content does not need any modification to run on another Xbox, with exceptions.

QUOTE (vokal4 @ May 20 2004, 10:18 AM)
the content is dled to /E:/TDATA/4d53004b/$u/ , now we just need someone to share it (not sure if the admins will allow that tho since its pay content)

No.. XS will not allow the sharing of content, even content that is free

it seems if you sign onto xbl, download the update, it will give you the cars, all you need to do from there is find the special tag associated with the new cars (unlockable online value), once you have found it you can change the value and resave the game.

this is only for the new cars and not the levels

Has anyone tried what I suggested?

Xbox saves manager picks up both the UDATA and TDATA information if the same directories exist in both folders.

not trying to insult you or anything opjose but its probly not worth trying, im pretty sure theres heavy protection on this shit cause the person i was gonna get it from told me he fooled around with a simple ini file (just a few bytes) from the dl contents and then the xbox flipped out telling him he needed to RE-DL the shit.

Man... You guys can't just put the content in tdata and wait for it to install itself. The content is downloaded to tdata and then installed automaticly when downloading via live, and sice you guys haven't got if from live u must put the files to the correct folders manually.

Even when you have put the files in the right folders this it still won't work, since in the pack there are a new xbe file with updates and it is so that the defalut.xbe on the pgr2 original dvd are looking for a newer xbe file on the hdd when starting....
