Default.xbe I Know This Is A Bad Idea To Ask
« on: August 16, 2005, 08:28:00 PM »

An xbe file is to the xbox what an exe is to a PC. For clarification, an XBE is what the Xbox uses for programs. The default.xbe is what the Xbox uses for the main executable for games and stuff. Morrowind has two: the default.xbe and Morrowind.xbe. The default.xbe runs the main menu, intro videos, and initial savegame loading. The Morrowind.xbe runs the game engine and the loading of savegames while playing.

You've got it right, but softmodding your xbox is an entirely different beast. Google for it, you should find several good tutorials on the subject.

I don't remember the subfolders, I'll post them as soon as I'm able to look them up. As for the modding, the only reason NOT to would be Xbox Live, which is way overrated anyways. And ethernet cables aren't too terribly expensive. Should be able to find some premade ones at your local computer shop for a reasonable amount. Or online even.
