I think it's a bit obvious what the problem with YouSendIt is. The site reads like it's designed for the purpose of privately sending files. In other words, one or a few people. The bandwidth is probably limited because this site isn't designed to facilitate huge public downloads and that would be extremely expensive. The site really doesn't boast itself as being designed for that, and in fact kind of communicates that it's not. The first step is something like, in my own words to avoid plagiarism, "Choose the person you want to send the file to. Anyone with e-mail capability. You can also send to multiple addresses using commas." This really only lightly touches on sending to multiple people, and not in a way that says the site is really good for such.
I think a lot of people will enjoy it when Yad2ckrU sets up that ftp site. FTP is definitely a superior way. It was a great that this got the files to people who can put it on FTP. You know, I bet other people found it obvious why YouSendIt was screwing up downloads when used like this. It seems like the problem is getting quickly dealt with, but a few people still were wondering why. I think this'll clear up the wondering.
