That's why it's not working. All the tutorials and mods are set up to be used with GOTYE.....And from the looks of what your saying, this stuff doesnt work the same on regular Morrowind. If you have access to GOTYE then I suggest you do that.
Don't get me wrong the orriginal Morrowind can be modded I myself don't know how and haven't seen anyone here focus on it. Obviously you have to know that GOTYE is way better than the Original and there are very few people who play teh original anymore....Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Also If you do either have it or manage to get it onto your system then I always help people here and I'm almost always on here after I get out of work.
Mods work on regular edition, and all the tutorials/mods are not set up for GOTY. The ONLY problem with the regular edition is that if the mod depends on bloodmoon or tribunal at all, then it will fail to run, since those expansions aren't installed. For instance, if an armor mod depends on the Triibunal mod for the royal guard armor, and you install it on GOTY by removing any dependency on tribunal.esm or bloodmoon.esm, it will still work because the needed files are in morrowind.esm. But on the regular edition, morrowind.esm doesn't have those files, and it doesn't work.
However, any mod from morrowind summit, etc that DOES NOT depend on tribunal or bloodmoon will not work on the regular edition.
Hope this clears up any confusion.
