What Mods Did You Get Working?
« on: June 21, 2004, 08:43:00 AM »

Knowing that some mods work, some don't, and some cause problems, i thought it would be a good idea to get a list going

So, here's what i got working

Entertainer mod
Balmora Manor
Weathered Signs
Japanese House
Advanced Herbalism
Private Mobile Base
Walled city of balmora/indybank
Better Bodies

Mods i am having problems with:

Ridable Guar - this is most likley due to heavy scripting. But here's the thing, i am able to ride guars. I just can't talk to anyone, nor can i switch to third person view.

Alright, Better Heads does work it just conflicts with some of the other head replacers out there. This causes a rainbow effect on the heads and can be fixed by using only one head replacer at a time.

QUOTE (NightElf @ Jun 24 2004, 03:11 PM)
sad.gif  grr.gif  im so tired of these dialogue errors even though i got a pc mega.esm i think im going to make the xbox just like my pc version im going to delete the xbox mega morrowind.esm the mega.bsa then transwer over from the pc morrowind.esm tribunial.esm and bloodmoon.esm and there .bsa im going to edit morrowind.ini so its gamefiles are including tribunial and bloodmoon.esm. i will reply back in about 2-4 hours depends on how lazy i am.

Tried that. Doesn't work. Same dialogue errors.

I wonder if these dialogue errors are inherent from the way the xbe handles the data files.

I might only have 1 post on this forum (well 2 now  biggrin.gif) but I have been playing  PC Morrowind for a while now.

Also made a couple of mods. You might have heard of one of them - Book Rotate.

Anyway, I know a bit about mods and I can assure you, your suggestion does not work. I think hammy_69 might be on the right track with his suggestion above.

the only way ive figured out to fix dialogue problems is 1st convert tribunal.esm to .esp do the same with bloodmoon then load up the construction set set tribunal/bloodmoon to active load it up then select merge to masters merge the esp's to morrowind.esm..then u use that one on the xbox instead of the xbox one then if theres a quest mod u want really badly to work but dialogue is messed up you have to load it up in the cs and merge it with your newmorrowind.esm if it has bloodmoon/tribunal dependencies remove those first but by merging it to the main master file it fixes all dialogue ive tried it with quite a few mods now and it works for me everytime.

book rotate, that's a good mod.  I'll give that merged business a try when I get time.

Hmmm, think I may have found the problem with the dialogue.

Now for some testing. I have to try and screw the dialogue up with a mod before I can try to fix it.

Off to the Construction Set me goes.......

biggrin.gif

The bad news is that I'm going to have to write a program to patch offending mods. It may take me a while  blink.gif

Bear with me please. And if someone could start working on how to run the mods from the Morrowind data files directory instead of the cache that would be helpful.
