forgot the link to TEDTK here it is http://members.optus...com.au/argent2/

TEDTK can also remove dependeces for other .esm's for expamle the goty xbox morrowind.esm include tribunial and bloodmoon.esm's so you can play mods that require both just delete the dependeces form teh plugin .esp file.

I belive i am the first to use this method and the person that told me about it Scrooluse

I havent tried but maybey if u have your game on the hardrive u can put the files in that data files folder but i havent tried this

I also notice some of u guys editiing the .nifs with TESXMC this was orignaly needed for just rugular morrowind i do not belive it is needed anymore (not on the Better Bodies mod) some mods may require this though

Files placed in the data files directory if the game is stored on the hard disc do not work.  Secondly, it has been well documented how to get mods to work, so you are not the first.

Yes better bodies, and better heads are good, but only go so far.  The stock GOTY doesn't work with quest mods at all due to dialogue problems.  Though yesterday it was put forth that combining the esm's for the pc version does seem to work for xbox.  Meaning you can open the esm using the TESCS, so this may fix any and all problems to date with mods, with the exception of course, lack of space.  So choose your mods wisely!  The above mentioned method has not been to my knowledge tested extensively , so I can't say if it really works 100% or not.

QUOTE

in order to get the mods to work you need to place them into the cache directory. That would be one of these x, y, z. Now you ask, "What is the size of these partitions??". They would be 749mb each, this is where games store temp information, they are not permanent. Each time you play a game you could lose you mods. So you either have to hold them on a local pc and FTP over everytime they are erased or place them on the xbox somewhere safe and then copy to the cache directory each time. You might say, "750 megs, that's not much, but I can live with that.". Well hold on there skippy, this isn't 750 megs of free mod space here. There are other things that occupy the same space. These files include the mega esm(no seperate esm for each expansion), bsa file, esm.map(Map? not something pc morrowind has, might be in the bsa), your current journal, other maps, and your current saves. Now after all said and done, one game started new leaves 286mb of free space for mods. If that is not bad enough, as you progress through the game you save game gets larger along with the journal. If you do not have enough space to create the save game in the cache directory you'll no longer be able to save. So don't milk up all the space, and leave some for saves. Playing safe and rounding to a nice even number you have 200mb of space to work with, give or take.

200mb not 64mb for modspace, this leaves 86mb for other things like save games.  It may be a little much, but better safe than sorry.

wink.gif no no no u mistunderstood i meant the xbox hase 64mb or ram right im saying some mods like GIANTS may not work cause al the textures may not fit into memory.. its just a theory though

i will be trying that mega pc .esm tonight (finally found all my morrowind/tribunal/bloonmoon disc) but i think there may be some problems like you said morrowind pc doesnt have .map so im thinking just include all the .bsa's from the pc morrwind tribunail.bsa morrowind.bsa and bloodmoon.bsa (dont think u can merge .bsa's)You problay asking why include all those its becase the pc doest have the map one so im thinking the map one is inside the .bsa on the pc and since im using the pc mega .esm it may not know how to use the map bsa of the goty xbox mega .esm please contact by email or aim so we can discuss this more in real time

try just the mega esm first, the bsa only holds the textures, and such, much like a zip archive.  just look and make sure everything in game is working.  The things to look for of course are Dialogue,  Models and textures.

i get a dialogue error when trying ot merge tribunial.esp and bloodmoon.esp to thier mast morrowind.esm its a dialogue error "somone in paticular". i might just go ahead since that dialogue is moslty for every nps when u cant find something. Im going to try leaving tribunial and bloodmoon in there .esm formates then merge to master

ohmy.gif  i started a new game went threw the procces and asked about specific place (people in seyda neen) they gave me the right information went to bloodmoon territory (solthiesm) seems like the goty bsa is good enough cause it loaded the bear armor (bloodmoon expansion stuff) and wolves and bears but i couldnt find raven rock (im not saying it doesnt exist its becasue i never been to soltheims before)

Right now im getting the mods i want so i can merge em with the mega .esm

ahh i think ill use this method
[Game Files]
GameFile0=Morrowind.esm
GameFile1=aire.esp
GameFile2=animal.esp
GameFile3=Mesa.esp

like somoene said cause then if some mods arent compatible i can just erase the GameFile entry and not mess up my .esm by merging the mods into it

there is no need to merge the esp's and there is no need to edit the game file entry either.  Any esp or esm is automaticly loaded from the cache.
