« on: June 13, 2006, 06:22:00 PM »

A Passcard 2 is a Passme device that needs a commercial game inserted in it and also needs to be programmed for that game in order to run code from a flashcart.

The passcard 3 is a NoPass device, meaning all you need to do is insert the device in order to run code from a flashcart. But it's also a tiny bit more expensive.

So if you plan to flash the DS and then toss that passcard, get a passcard 2 as it'll also work on all DS and DS Lites. It's just a bit more trouble to get everything setup.

Yeah, I find it much more convenient to just install FlashMe and not use a Passme-like device.

Problem is, you need one to launch the FlashMe app in the first place if your DS is not compatible with the WifiMe trick (the DS Lite isn't).

Here's a very good tutorial on flashing a DS Lite. There are great tutorial son flashing the old one, but the Lite is lacking in the tutorial department so I thought it would be beneficial for everyone that just got it at lauch (like myself  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )

I'm ordering a Supercard in the next few days; the $30ish more I'd be paying for the M3 just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Decent price there though...

If I didn't own a supercard miniSD already, I'd wait a little and order this baby:

or the EZ4Lite MicroSD, which is also designed to fit perfectly in that Lite GBA slot...

As for M3 vs SC, I suggest you read a few reviews (gbatemp.net has nice ones) and choose yourself, both have their flaws...

Good luck

And in the past day I've changed my mind to the EZ-Lite 4.

$79 shipped with a Superkey to the US, which isn't too bad.

Great info guys.
I just bought a DS Lite and I've been looking to jump in NDS emus and homebrews (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
