Nintendo Ds Modding!
« on: February 18, 2005, 05:34:00 AM »

Has anyone modded their beloved DS yet?

I've seen a few articles on allowing it to play gameboy colour games and how to double the wireless range -
but has anyone thought about a chip or an operating system like LINUX or a smaller version?

just a thought, i'd love to see what can be done with this console  biggrin.gif

DSLinux.org (click for link)

Google is your friend here.  Other than this there doesn't seem to be much  at the moment.

Another link to a site where they basically shoot down what they call 'fake mods' that double the wireless range and play gbc games

You can even use flash carts such as the X-Rom to play gameboy Advance games on the DS.

I can agree with that first hand.  My roommate played my xrom cart in his DS a few days ago.  However not all flash advance carts will work with the DS.  Some do not, and some (like the xrom) still need to have a GBA/SP in order to flash games to the cart in the first place.
