i am a total newb when it comes to ps2. flame me all you want if its not posible, but i want to use a xbox controller on ps2. i havent seen any xbox to ps2 joypay converters so i guess that it might not be possible, but is it, i havent really got a straight answer. i saw a ps2 to usb so you can use a ps2 controller on a pc, so i thought that i could rip one of those apart and hook the usb end up to an xbox controller and take a broken ps2 controller cord and match the wires up to that from the ps2 end of the converter and then taking the xbox controller and hooking it up to the usb end. i dont know if that would work or if their is a simpler way. if their is point me in that direction if not then ill stick with the ps2 controller. thanks very much.

I am not to too sure if you can or can't, but if you already got the broken parts and everything ready to go i say just try it and see. Then post your results. The only thing would be the buttons, as the PS2 has 2 L's and 2 R's. And the xbox only has the two triggers. At first i thought the blach and white button would work as the missing L+R buttons, but now that i think of it, i don't think the ps2 would be able to figure out that the black and white buttons are subbing for the L+R.

You should post this in the hardware modding forum. You'll get better answers there for sure.

while i was thinking of just taking a ps2 to xbox controller adapter and reversing its function so that it works backwards.
