New Game Freezing?

I just bout a BRAND NEW copy of KOTOR. When going into the vulkars base i let the girl by the bar go free. Then, I went across the hall and found a guy and started talking to him. About halfway through the conversation the game freezes. There are no scratches of anything and the game is brand new. Someone please help me.

This is a bug that happens to all Platinum Hits copies of the game.  The best way to deal with this is save the game right after you let the lady go free.  Then load up your saved game and right before you talk to the guy, unlock the Armory first.  You should get by now without any problems.
