i might have problems getting a couple from china. i dont have a credit card and my parents or brother wont let me use theirs grr.gif

what do all modchips do?
load a bios. the features of the bios will depend on who wrote it

I guess I'm curious how to play backups with it. The compatability hasn't been the greatest w/PSO, so I'm wondering how to play a backup off a mini DVDR.

was just looking over at ps2ownz.com and saw the news title about the viper gc hav a bios called Cobra and that u can play copied games off min dvdr (hope it works biggrin.gif )
wat u guys think?

so can you just put in any original game till cobra loads up, then put any backup, even if its not the same game as the original?

and what about normal sized dvd-r? ive got a couple hundred of em, dont want to buy anymore blank dvds

u could prbably just rip the case off, or fabricate your own case top that will allow for using full sized dvd's

my gamecube is like a million pieces at the moment. in the middle of modding it ;)
i just want to know if they will work, not if they will fit. they should but you know just incase...

on max console it says that pic is exclusive but ive seen it everywhere, and also before they posted it to. what idiots.

It has been confermed that full sized dvd's work.  I'm gonna buy one right now.  BTW does anyone know how to rip GC games?
